On the Edge Part III

Continued from part II

Peter and I had just dragged a box from his attic (that had been left there by the previous owners of the house) into the garden and were just about to open it, when I stopped him. “Hang on whilst I dowse it.”

A note here about Peter, he is a guy that has never done any intentional energy work in his life and was not only skeptical but a “I have no clue either way” kind-of guy. So all of this story has to be filtered because I spent much time trying to persuade Peter to humour my little whims.

With that in mind, I dowsed the box and found that it was energetically significant. Had it any bad energy in it? No, but it did have male and female energies flowing from it. Odd really, because if I was dowsing it blind, I would have thought that it was a plant or some kind of sacred stone (in a stone circle).

What it didn’t have was any of the “Evil” energy from the thing that was (I checked) still in the attic. Ok, I was fairly convinced that it would be OK to open the box and look through, so we did.

The box contained some musty old notebooks. Six of them and what seemed like some bric-a-brac. I picked out one of the books and leafed through it. It was a diary/journal of some girl. I will call her Jenny but that wasn’t the name in the books.

From the information in the books we found that she was probably in her late teens and had lived in the house with her father and mother. What was abundantly clear from the diaries was that she and her mother were physically (and emotionally) abused by her father on a weekly basis. It was heart wrenching to read her accounts of the beatings that she had had throughout her child hood.

I would put some words of hers here but it doesn’t feel right to do so so I won’t. I will say that her details of the events was graphic to the point of detailing where, when and how she and her mother had been beaten.

In my previous energy experience, I have come across energies that have lingered in places of violence and it wasn’t a big leap to think that the many energy points in the home (see Part I) where places that this mother and daughter were abused.

What a turn of events and so sad too. Both Peter and I turned aside as we read these diaries. I think he was crying too. In honesty, I didn’t read them all, nor one whole one in total. What I was wondering was, “What is going on here?”

It seemed clear that emotional energy had been infused into the writing of the books, but so? Why had it stayed there? I also dowsed and confirmed that the “thing” in the attic (Gosh! What a cliche) was feeding of this energy. I asked whether there were any shades involved? No. That was good, I’m trying to get out of ‘shadey’ territory.

Peter was rivetted by the diaries and as he continued to read, I looked through the remainder items in the box. There were some jewelry type stuff, hair pins, some rusted rings, hair brush. Nothing that stood out. A quick bit of dowsing confirmed the following:

  • Yes, the negative energy centres in the house were related to where the mother and daughter had been abused.
  • Yes, the diaries were a source of emotional energy
  • Yes, the thing in the attic was feeding of the emotional energy
  • Yes, it was affecting Peter in a significant way (see note below).

The negative energy that was leaking into the house from the attic was from the Thing, not from the diaries. Though they had emotional energy in them, the main cause was this entity that was leaching the energy out and then pushing bad energy into the house.

An interesting thing I learned was that another person had to be in the house too, kind of like a catalyst, for the energy transfer to take place. I think this is a really important find. Worth exploring later.

On learning that Peter was significantly affected, I did what I should have done right at the beginning of this exploration and asked about him. Tell me about your life? I asked. do you feel lucky? Do you get ill often? How are you emotionally. Relationships?

I was interested in anything that might be caused by the energy goings on in his home. He told me about his life, It was pretty average I have to say. The only thing that caught my attention was the nightmares. He said that he often had nightmares but couldn’t remember the details. I latched on to that and asked the rods whether these were caused by the energies in the home? A big YES.

As an aside, I learned that Peter’s energy was being subtly changed by the environmental energies and that soon it would be manifesting in a physical way. Oh dear! Since I am currently fascinated by thresholds, I asked Peter if he considered this house his home? He was surprised by the question and replied that, strangely enough, he didn’t. Here then is the story of the House of Peter….

Before Peter moved in, a family of mother, father and daughter lived in the house. I don’t know about the earlier years, but for the last four/five years of being in that house, the daughter and mother had been abused mentally and physically. This abuse had been carried out in various places in the house. All of this was evidenced by the entries in the diary

At about 3 years before they moved out of the house the “thing” in the attic moved in. Interestingly it had come in by being attached to the daughter from someplace. It didn’t move into the attic, but moved around the different rooms of the house, settling on the negative energy spirals.

An interesting point was, and this made me really angry, it had caused some beatings by being in a particular spot in a room. So it not only fed on the negative energy but also created them by causing arguments (see note below).

The family moved out of the house and it was empty for a while. During this time the thing moved into the attic because that was where the greatest concentration of energy was. But it couldn’t feed on it effectively because (for some reason) it needed a living person in the mix.

Peter then bought the house and moved in. Interestingly Peter was attracted to this house because of an energy alignment. This alignment was that Peter had been abused by his father when he was a child. What didn’t help was that Peter had recently gone through a divorce and was suffering from emotional issues (I learned this by dowsing, obviously Peter didn’t know anything about energies).

When Peter moved in, the thing had another ‘victim’ to use as a catalyst to feed of the energy of the previous emotions and now the ‘aligned’ energies of the new comer. Oddly it seems that it fed through a living being, hmmm like perhaps the living person was a straw through which it fed.

Over the 2.5 years that Peter had lived in the house it had fed and released negative energies in the house. This negative energy release is a natural process for the thing. It is like spreading manure. It helps create more ‘appetising’ bad emotions.

And thus we arrive at today. The above was all found either through the diary notes or dowsing for answers. Some of it was written in hindsight with the information that was gained that very evening. The sun was setting, we had been at it for 4 hours and I was knackered. I wanted some more answers though:

Was I able to clean out the house and thing? YES, Curiously, an easy “yes” considering it was a -10! So I double checked. Was the thing still at a -10? No, it was a -6 because the diaries had been removed. Cool. So did I need some stuff to help? Yes. I went through my usual list and apparently everything was needed! Seriously?

Since it was now down to a -6 I felt okay to leave Peter for the night and would come back tomorrow evening to kick this things ass. Oh by the way, again I didn’t tell Peter the details of it, remembering the Placebo.

Saying my goodbyes and doing a quick energy bomb to be safe, I left thinking all was going good. That was my mistake!

    Kal,

I’ve just read all of the tale – brilliantly told and so interesting.

But – I want to know what happened next…..??????

I haven’t done any work smudging myself. I once met a very nice and wise man who was smudging Bryn Celli Ddu on Anglesey. At the time I thought he was a bit deluded. Since then I have realised that smudging has its place.

For me, incense is the tool that does the same job of clearing or preparing a space. I use it all the time. When I have finished working at a place I take the incense with me and ‘smudge’ the site in order to remove any traces of my energy.

Kal is correct to link the smoke with the intention. Intention is the only important factor in smudging. When I use incense to remove an energetic imprint it is actually my intent that is doing the clearing, not the smoke. The smoke is only a visual means of showing me where I have cleared.

Finally a note about smell. Smell is only important to the smudger. The importance of the smell of the smoke is when it evokes in YOU. In itself it has no intrinsic properties.

Wow – such a lengthy pair of comments are almost worth a post, no?
    Gwas.

      Gents,

This is such a terrific story and a reminder to all of the importance of energies/alignment and the “acxtive” nature of such energies (rather than a simply “flow”).

Here is a question how does one assure that when dowsing that a “truthful” energy is answering, rather than the malign? How does one assure sensitivty to know the differnece?

      Great site and podcasts,

      Thank you.

      Andy

PS If you can recomend any sites in or around Chester please feel free to suggest.

      • Kal says:

        Hi Andy,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, you are right we should be more aware of the energies that surround us. The SMOG (Social Media Fog) of todays world truly messes up our more exotic senses.

The Question you have asked was very pertinant to me, more so than Gwas (I tumbled over this issue for a very long time and still do some times).

From my perspective, I am asking questions of my higher conscious when it comes to dowsing and so there is no real issue of trust (unless I have self-trust issues, which has been the case with some I know). Having said that many interactions in ‘this’ world occur with other agencies and there the matter of trust is a point of pondering.

As an example I would ask you to look at my dealings with Caileach, on first encounter I didn’t trust her and was, frankly afraid of the position that she would lead me to. However, now we have a much keener relationship. How did that come about? Through experience. I didn’t blindly give her my trust, she had to work for it. I tested and probed each answer she gave for weaknesses and when finding time after time (see my Knights Quest) she came through in, again frankly, miraculous ways.

I hope that goes someway in answering your question. I dont doubt that this topic deserves a much longer answer. Perhaps an article.

Gwas will i’m sure have his words and advice on sites in and around Chester.

        Thanks,

        Kal Malik

Thank you for your lengthy and thoughtful reply. I will review the old posts you suggest.

I too trust my highest intention but wonder whether an “entity” of sufficient complexity could effectively mimic that voice within.

          Continued success on your journey.

          Andy

          • kal says:

            Hi Andy,

You are right. I pondered that one too. At the end of the day the issue is this:

Intuitional knowledge doesn’t follow a reasoned path and we are so enamoured by the path of reason that even to talk about a un-reasoned take on life causes major social issues. Moving from a reason oriented world to one that is mixed with intution is literally like returning to childhood. We take a tentative step and see if the floor is secure, then another and then another until we gain some semblance of trust in our ‘sixth sense’

The biggest problem with this is the rational notion that we observe the world AND that that observation doesn’t affect it. Quantum physics aside for the moment. It is my conclusion that we are inextricably entwined with the world and even our thoughts affect it. So the problem is this. If we think that a ‘voice’ could mimic our inner self then that in and of itself might create (or let in) a voice that does.

Mind bending isn’t it? If you want some really scary stuff to read then I suggest the latter works of Carlos Castaneda, in particular the Art of Dreaming. Where he suggests that the our inner voice is indeed an entity…If I recall he calls it the Dreaming Emissary or it maybe some other Inorganic Being (I might have to go through his stuff again).

            Thanks for the well wishes,

            Kal Malik

PS – Another thought that comes to mind is of a parapsychological experiment to explain mediumship. The experimenters invented a ghost and then tried to contact it using a Seance. After a few failed attempts they managed to ‘call’ the spirit of this invented ghost and it replied to queries with the answers they invented, and even produced some classical ghosty phenomena (such as table rapping).

  • sundaemon says:

Bravo! Does this “thing” have any parallel in any of the ancient literature?

On a half-related note, do you guys know much about smudging? You know, using smoke to purify an area of impure spirits? It’s just that I’ve got the feeling that the smoking ban in public areas, and especially pubs, has allowed demons to run amok much more than usual.

Did you consider burning her journals? Perhaps there would be a much-needed release there, maybe even affecting her wherever she is now.

    • kal says:

      Good day Sundaemon,

Yes, we have done some smudging in our time. I think me more than Gwas. I have seen it used to cleanse a place but my own experience has mostly been in using it as Aura clearing. Frome experience I would say two things in regards to smoking ‘smoke’.

      * I think that it matters what you are smudging with. Most of the time I have seen and used Sage (not the nicest of smells) but I feel that the energy vibration of the material burned matters.

      * I also know that Intention is a key part of any ‘magical’ work and without this key ingredient, smoke (even of the Sage kind) is just smoke.

As to your latter note…I direct your expectation to the fourth and final installment of the tale coming soon. Although I have to say you are close to the mark :-)
