The Shining One

Gwas and I were on a trip to discover the lack of crop circle phenomena this summer of 2012. During our visit to Wiltshire, the area most famed for crop circles, we decided to take in a trip to the barrow of West Kennet. Gwas had been there several times whilst for me it was a second.

The front of West Kennet long barrow

The weather was breezy and precipitous so I was quite keen to get inside the barrow and do some communing. The rods however pointed me towards a long walk to the back of the barrow, along the top and a period of cleansing in a power centre before I was allowed in.

When I did finally get in I was immediately led to the far central chamber and a quiet corner therein. I stood leaning against the wall and looking into some candles that had been lit ceremoniously by other visitors. Was there anything to commune with in this place? I wondered, not wanting any shade-y communes today. There was. But I couldn’t get a hold of what it was. Still it seemed friendly enough so I proceeded with some caution but fairly open.

After several moments a thought came to me. Shining One. Oh no, not that old chestnut. As you guys will know, over the last few months I have been called by one being or another a shining one. I had still to discover what that meant. Perhaps here would be an opportunity to do so? So I asked, “why am I called that?”

The being  (for want of a term) responded, “because you are radiating energy”. I know that I thought, “But why am I radiating this energy?” I asked. and got a startling answer.

  • “You should be more concerned with how to stop it.”

What? It seems that being a shining one hasn’t been good for me, energetically speaking. I had thought that my aura was radiating energy (rather cool). However this being told me that my Solar chakra was leaking energy and that I should figure a way to stop it. I asked whether it could help me, and it replied only as a temporary measure.

To get this stop-gap solar closing energy I was directed to the first chamber (on the left) as you enter the Barrow and to meditate there. I did so for some time and although I didn’t fee; any different, the rods told me that my solar was closed and that I wasn’t shining for the moment.

Just goes to show you, just because the title sounds cool, doesn’t mean it’s good for you!
