The tree with no aura

Good Beltane Wishes!

Yesterday, Gwas and I visited a couple of stone circles in the Peak district. In particular we visited one called Nine stones close. [pic pending]

We had spent about two hours (which felt a lot shorter) dowsing the energies around this very perculiar circle, Gwas will no doubt elucidate on the many findings and visions/feelings that he received during this time. However I am going to focus on the third hour or so that we were at this site.

Although called Nine Stones Close the actual number of stones present are 4, perhaps in earlier times there were nine – as seems to be the case if you dowse for the positions for past stone places.

The stones are placed some 15 feet away from a rock wall which stands about 4 feet high and divides the field in which the stones are in with the neighbouring one.

The stones form a almost square like configuration with each stone forming a corner of the square.

In the neighbouring field right next to the wall and hence only 16 or so feet away from the stone circle was a rather worn and bare tree. The next nearest tree was approx 100 metres away along the wall.

As I mentioned Gwas and I had spent some two hours dowsing the site and finding many interesting phenomena – I will note here that at one point we found five negative (male) power/energy centres each lying between the stones with two of them between the stones were nearest to the tree. Please take a look at Gwas’s post as it seems that these energy centres where created/used by other persons to balance the energies of the site.

The Tree

It was about 2 hours in and Gwas was busy doing some visualisation when, and I honestly cant recall why I did this, found myself dowsing for the aura of the above mentioned tree. As you look through the posts on this site you will realise that “tree” stuff is usually the forte of my friend Gwas. However on this occasion I seemed to suddenly become fascinated by the tree. As I said I dowsed for the aura and couldn’t find its boundary.

I then walked right up to the tree trying to find the aura – to no avail. I asked whether the tree had an aura and to my amazement the answer was “no”!! I asked if the tree was alive – yes – and has it got an aura, i asked again – no!

What was going on? My understanding was that all living things have an aura – why had this tree not got one? At this point I high tailed it to the nearest tree (about 100 metres away) and tested for its aura (and as a byproduct tested my rods too) all was fine – this tree had a aura some 10 feet in radius.

Alive with No Aura

I returned in haste and double, triple checked the tree, again no aura. Truly perplexed I asked Gwas to check the trees aura and he too found that it had none – even going right up to the bark of the tree in search of this elusive energy field.

Gwas and I stared at each other in perplexed amazement. Whilst Gwas wandered off to work on what he was doing I continued exploring. Did the tree have an aura in the past? Yes and it was now gone? Yes. Was it because of the wall? No. Was it because of the Stone circle being so close? Yes

Ah…now I was getting somewhere (the combination of intuitive questioning and dowsing responses!!) I wondered whether we could do anything to help return the Trees aura? No. O dear that wasn’t a good answer…but learning from previous sojourns, I asked can One of us help to restore the Trees aura? Yes. Excellent! I immediately called out to Gwas that there was a tree here that needed his attention (my assumption being that since he is the “Druid” in this project he would be the candidate to do something).

Remember what they say about assumptions? ASS out of U and ME! and so when we quizzed the rods the answer returned that I was to be the primary and Gwas a energy providing secondary.

“Why me? I aint be no druid!”

Climbing the Tree

My not being a druid statement not withstanding I decided to do what I could. My first inclination was towards crystals – it is after what seems to have become our stock in trade.

But even before I had dowsed the question I had the feeling of “no” it needed something else. Just to be on the safe side I asked anyway and got the “No, didnt I tell you already?” response – thanks Trickster!

What then? The stone wall that seperated the fields was some four foot high and wobbly by nature. As other posts have suggested I am a vertigo oriented person by nature and even the smallest heights cause my knees to wobble and with a unstable ledge – my anxiety rises a little more. So it was a surprise to me and Gwas (when he looked around) to find me perched on the wall.

As I think back as to “why” I had clambered up that wall, I honestly cant think of a reason. Again in other posts you will begin to see an emerging pattern of me doing things that seem to bypass my cognitive regions – dont ask – I have and I ain’t got a response – yet!

So there I was getting up close and personal to the branches of this aura-less tree and wondering – even at that point – what was I doing?

The Crow

I seem to have adopted the crow as my totem – I think the Symbol-du-Affaire began at a so-called burial chamber near Brin Celi Du. Anyway I digress, I was stood upon this wobbly wall musing at the branches when the call of a Crow made me look off to my left. I tried to spy the Crow but branches were obscuring my sight and something else, forgetting the Crow I examined the something that was hanging from the tree.

The Gifts and Seeds

I called Gwas over and pointed at the branch the crow had directed me to. Is that some kind of offering someone has left I asked Gwas? He comfirmed that it did seem to be some ribbon tied to the branch but so faded and old that it could hardly be distinguished in colour from the branch.

I examined the branches more closely and saw a couple of other offerings tied here and there – they could have only been spotted by getting really close up to the branches -  on the wall - close!

As my gaze wandered looking for more offerings I saw what looked like large circular balls hanging from one or two branches. At first I thought that these too were offerings, but upon closer examination they were revealed to be dried seeds some 1cm in diameter.

What to do?

I jumped down from the tree with a certainty that those seeds were to be used in this project. And a quick question of the rods revealed it to be so.

Isn’t that strange? How many questions would I have had to ask before I would have come to that answer? Too many! It was only by climbing the tree and possibly the intervention of a Crow that led me to it.

So how many seeds would be needed? One, Two…Five. OK five it is. And what do I do with them? Duh? There seeds? What do you think? That Trickster is funny sometimes!

You wont fall

I clambered back up the wall and tried to accumulate the correct number of seeds. As I did my feet wobbled and I became nervous. It was at this moment that the tress said to me (yes I know the dodgy-o-meter has just gone of the scale) “don’t worry – I wont let you fall”

Gwas was watching me standing on the wall – and realised the change in my confidence – as I stood up there with no hesitations – even stepping around the wobbly stones.

I collected five seeds and was ready to rock! Or seed even :-)

Negative energy power centers

Both Gwas and I are so used to the finding placement for things that the notion comes automatically now. Whilst Gwas meditated (and let energy flow to me) on a power center. I held seed uno in my hand and was led around the site by my rod to a place for it to be buried. It wasn’t until I buried the second seed that a chuckle rose from Gwas and I looked across askance? He didnt respond and it was when I placed the third seed that I realised.

Earlier in our dowsing we had found that the site had four positive energy centers in a kind of inner square and then five outer negative energy center circle.

Unknowingly I was burying the seeds in each of the five negative energy centers. Who – come on – who would have guessed that?

After completion of our labours – we had one of those collective moments – work done!

Speculation

Had we acheived anything? The rods said yes, that the aura of the tree would return or be reborn – rejuvenated – whatever. Gwas comfirmed this by managing to detect the tiniest sliver of aura right up to the bark.

As we walked away I was again fearlessly clambering over rocks and running along uneven stones. There was an echo in my mind “I wont let you fall”.

Connections

That evening when I was at home speculating on the days events I wondered whether a connection between me and that tree had formed? The rods said yes and since then I have had an urge – soon to be satisfied – to go and visit that tree again!

Day Two:

Being child like

The next day Gwas and I were wandering through the wooded area around Frodsham – it was a truly curious feeling that I had amongst those trees. Almost childlike – Whilst Gwas and another friend were making energy patterns and meditating. I was happy playing the jester for the day. Hmmm upon reflection it was very odd of me to be doing so and yet I felt so at joy within the presence of the trees that I couldnt help but let it show.

Its a feeling – just a feeling – but I do believe that it was a energetic reflection from yesterdays tree – that gave me that pan-like experience. Why that leap of logic? Leap is the right word since I was clambering along the edges of small precipecis without a care. All the while a few words rattling in my head “you wont fall”.

Trusting – and what happens when you dont

It was nearing the end of some six hours of tree wanderings that led us to a steep path down towards the road. Whilst Gwas and our other friend took pains to avoid the slippery dangers, I leapt down the path with ease. I was nearing the bottom when my rational brain kicked into gear and told me that I was pelting down the path at too great a rate.

I swear if it hadnt of been for that rational advice I would have happily continued to trust and have reached the botttom in safety. But habits are hard to break and so even as the idea entered my mind I reached out for a tree to halt my descent and came to slippery and crashing end – causing a reasonable amount of friction burns to my arm.

A lesson learned? In time maybe – habits are a beep to break!
