Shamanic Lands 2 – The Colour of the Winds

Shamanic Lands 2 – The Colour of the Winds

In this second part of Caithlin Matthews‘ talk at Shamanic Lands this June I will recount how she described the colour of the winds. This was the heart of her talk and as well as describing their colour (from which their attributes can be surmised) we did a practical discovery session where we were asked to detect the direction of the wind which was blowing on the day of our birth. Another attribute to add to the more usual zodiacal associations that we tend to use. I hope my hurried notes do justice to this fascinating talk, but what can’t be transmitted are her confident manner born of deep study, her ability to switch between erudite detail, incisive analysis and pertinent collation, then burst into song to illustrate an aspect or bring a point to...

Spring Dowsing 2016 – Dowsing Professionally

Spring Dowsing 2016 – Dowsing Professionally

In the second of my posts about my visit to the British Society of Dowsers‘ Spring Symposium in Worcester I talk about my meeting with the personification of wisdom, and how this meeting inspired me to push forward in my own work. I was wondering what to sign up for in the second half of the day. I decided to nip out and walk one of the labyrinths which were sprayed onto the grass in the quadrant outside. Everyone else seemed to be busy buying books, eating or nattering. I had work to do! Outside I used my dowsing rods to find which labyrinth would guide me best, and I walked one of the three available. The sun was out strongly now, and the light accompanied my walk making me feel enlivened and in the right state of mind for the second half of the...

Protection – The Sword and The Stone

Protection – The Sword and The Stone

It’s not every day that you get trained in exorcism. Not that I felt I needed that much training. I have recounted some (but by no means all) of the stories of encounters that I have had with both the more troublesome and ill-intentioned spirits that inhabit the subtle and invisible realms. Regular readers and clients will testify to that. Nevertheless, I was “accompanying a minor”. My wife, M, is learning about energy healing and as a off-shoot, an adjunct and a bolt-on to the course two experienced practitioners, Dan Khan and Mimi McNally, were offering a day’s tuition on Entities, Exorcism and Energetic Protection. It would take place under the banner of The Lightning Path at the Regent’s Park University in London too – a...

Who is Gwas? All is revealed!

Who is Gwas? All is revealed!

Ladies and Gentlemen – the time has come. If you have been following this blog for any amount of time then you will be familiar with a character called Gwas. Over the years you will have witnessed his journey from a fledgling dowser and druid. Where has Gwas ended up at this point, though? Gwas ended up being an experienced druid. His daily practices and regular outings to sacred sites became more than a serious hobby, and became his life. His experiences with Otherworldly intelligences took him from being a non-believer through to the opposite end of that spectrum – as someone who could not imagine how life could be fully experienced and enjoyed without the interactions with spirits. As part of Gwas’s spiritual guidance recently he was told...

Regret, forgiveness and our Energetic Double

Okay, Yesterday I visited Nine Stones Close. A beautiful sacred site and one that I will always hold a favourite. Ostensibly I had gone there to ask other questions (about questions) but why not knockout two birds with one rock, right? As part of my research I wanted to know the effects on our Energetic Double with regards to Forgiveness or indeed lack of forgiveness. Is our energetic double affected by lack of forgiveness? Yes On a scale of 1 to 10 how bad is it for our double if we don’t forgive? 7 Seven is quite a high level. I asked whether it depended on what it was we were not forgiving and the answer (of course) was a Yes. But it seems that it is a factor of: the intensity of emotion the frequency (how often we think about it) the action (whether we...

Mysterious Earth Conference 2011

I was at the Mysterious Earth Conference this year. The conference was held at the Village Hall in the village of Grimsargh near Preston in Lancashire, England. Kal had come up so that we could go to this event together, which was very nice of him to make the effort. There were four speakers lined up, but we only found three of them to be relevant to our studies and research, so I will concentrate on the positives and tell you about these three. The three speakers of interest to me were:- Kevin Rowan-Drewitt – Neolithic Observatories Pete Knight – West Kennet Long Barrow: Ancestors, Landscape and the Cosmos Gary Biltcliffe – The Belinus Line & The Spine of Albion Here is a run-down of their primary themes and some notes that I took about...
