Predictions for crop circles in 2012

I know it’s very early in the year to be talking about crop circles, but this post has been hanging around for ages and it seemed like a good idea to get it finished and out there now, so that our beloved readers could be thinking about the ideas and having a good laugh when the weather is cold and bleak! We do like to entertain and amuse as well as inform and mystify. Back in the beginning of August 2010 I made a prediction that the Summer of 2012 would see the end of crop circles as a phenomenon.

“Crop circles will stop appearing by 2013. The peak of their complexity will be the Summer Solstice of 2012.” (source: a guiding divinity)

Actually, the results I got were that 2012 would be the year of their cessation, but at the time I interpreted that as meaning that June 2012 would see their ultimate expression, and thus there would be no further non-man-made circles in the 2013 season.

This information was dowsed in the centre of a crop circle but at the time, at what felt like the height of crop circle phenomenon, it seemed like a wild and crazy prediction born of a dowsed result in which I couldn’t really place much credibility other than my own judgment of how good I was at dowsing. However, the result was in keeping with the wild and crazy information that we were getting about the way that crop circles were created (certainly the non man-made ones anyway) .

Having pretty much given up looking at crop circles (because I couldn’t decide what their use was, and I was completely put off by the idea of their potential creators) it was a sudden moment of inspiration that reminded me that I used to go and look at the crop circle formations avidly last year, but that this year I hadn’t even bothered to review them at all. Not once! And it was June already. The crop circles for this year would surely be at their absolute peak of the season now, so I should go and take a look at the gallery on Crop Circle Connector.

I wanted to back up my theory with some statistics showing that the 2011 season figures were quite different to previous years, but getting hold of this information is quite difficult these days. Crop circles have become a business, and if you want the figures you have to pay the cash to join the various circle sites that record these figures in their databases. All these database differ in terms of the numbers recorded for 2011 anyway, so I guess comparisons are ultimately quite futile. Suffice it to say that at least at the beginning of the year i was quite surprised at how slow the season got off to, and the distinct lack of quality in the circles recorded. Beyond that, many of the professional-looking circles that began to appear in June and July just looked faked anyway! But all of this is now opinion, and academic at that because I don’t have any evidence to state my case properly.

[UPDATE] Having listened to the Red Ice interview with Colin Andrews I feel somewhat more justified in my statements now. Here is what Colin said about the recent circles:-

“”I think the quality – or the lack of quality – in the last few years of many of the designs – it’s fairly obvious to most people that really were looking at this and being honest with themselves that most of these were being made by [the] people. I can tell you for certain, because of my information, yes they were!”

Speaking of the future of crop circles after 2012 he says: “I think we can predict something new coming here…there’s every reason to suspect there will be new phenomena.”

I don’t want to put too much emphasis on differentiating ‘real’ and ‘man-made’ circles because in terms of their impact upon our consciousness all crop cricles may have relevance, but personally I concentrate my efforts to understand the phenomenon by dealing with the unexplained circles.

What opinion does this leave me with concerning the 2011 crop circle season and the implications for my 2012 prediction?

  • If all circles are created by humans then the good circle creators don’t seem to have been particularly motivated in 2011
  • Some 2011 circles were obviously created by humans, and this is likely to continue because people now depend upon their appearance
  • The ones that were given to us by non-human sources may have served their purpose after an important Midsummer 2012 message?

Watch with me as the 2012 season emerges this year. Let’s see if the quantity reduces from 2011 (52?) and if the complexity increases to a crescendo in mid-June, before the phenomenon of non-man-made circles disappears completely. Let’s keep meditating on their message and see what emerges this year – I think it’s going to be important somehow to our spiritual development. During the year I will be watching the developments closely and will try to add my opinions as we go along.

According to my dowsing, the number of real non-man-made crop circles to appear this year are:-

  • APRIL – 2
  • MAY – 7
  • JUNE – 10
  • JULY – 15
  • AUGUST – 3

I also predict there will be a final message in the circles of August 2012. Predictions always make everyone involved look foolish, so I’ll be the first to say that those figures are impossible to prove one way or another! The interpretations of the messages are even harder. So, whether you visit some circles this year or not, enjoy the ‘final’ ‘true’ season!

;-)

UPDATE: Red Ice Creations web site have got an interview this month with Colin Andrews – a ‘founding father’ of crop circle research. I would recommend listening to at least the first hour. In the second hour (for subscribers) he goes on to talk about the 2012 season in particular.

Persistence and the Pendulum

I keep going back to try things that I thought I was unable to do, and finding that experience, or whatever was blocking the skill, has now allowed me to achieve it. A case in point this time is my experiences with the pendulum. Even this year I was saying to people attending my dowsing course that I couldn’t use the pendulum – it just didn’t work properly for me.

Grahame Gardner of the BSD

A few weeks ago I was listening to Grahame Gardner, President of the British Society of Dowsers, and he was going through his method of using the pendulum. He made some interesting points about how to use the pendulum that I hadn’t picked up on before such as keeping the pendulum in motion when it is in its “neutral” or “ready” position. I had always thought that this should be a ‘standing start’, i.e. hanging motionless. His second tip was to use a short chain to make the pendulum swing faster, and thus shorten the response time. Of course! How could I not have tried this before? Sometimes I am so stupid!

I thought I would have another go, so I dug out my old lapis lazuli pendulum and tried some of the suggestions. I pushed the pendulum into a back and forth motion using my wrist to maintain the momentum, then I prepared myself to program the pendulum’s responses, or program myself to accept the pendulum’s response – whichever way was going to work. After only a few seconds the pendulum was responding and I had my “yes” and “no” responses firmly developed and distinct. Pendulum dowsing finally ‘clicked’ with me!

Since then I have been testing the dowsing response to questions that I know I can get answers to with the L-rods and the responses have all been fine. All this time I have been saying that I was unable to use a pendulum, and actually all it took were a few suggestions for using it in a different way. Just a reminder that when we set ourselves limitations, it is always worth re-visiting those limits once in a while to see whether we are capable of transcending or surpassing them. We are not always aware at the time of what it is that is blocking our progress.

Sometimes the work we have done elsewhere and with other skills feeds into things that we have previously dismissed. Now I have a new string to my bow – one that I thought had snapped!

The world is changing

Wiccan Year

The world has changed.

Sacred calendars tell us of the seasons and festivals. The next one that is approaching is the winter solstice. It is at times such as these that people of old would gather in the fire-lit halls and celebrate or await the reawakening of the world.

These festivals mark the energy of the world as it traverses the sun, astral energies in there truest sense. But what the equation forgets is personal energies.

As Gwas and I have found over the last couple of years is that Earth days are not exact for us, rather what we often find is that alignment occurs for us on days that are out of the sacred calendar.

We put this down to the following reasons:

  • Sometimes we are more aligned with lunar energies and so that becomes the “best” time for us.
  • Also we feel that the sacred dates are on a sliding scale and so it’s “ok” for us to go about our work on days that are close to the sacred ones.

Both of these are excellent and valid explanations. In this post I would like to offer, not an alternative, but a complementary notion.

Personal Sacred Festivals

My idea is this. Sacred days are days that have to take into account the energetic state of the person celebrating them.

The energetic state of a person is holistic. It should take into account the current energy of the person, there astrological (birth time and place) energy and the energy of their current location i.e. where they are (intend) to celebrate the sacred day.

Given these criteria a sacred date becomes altogether personal doesn’t it? We can see how it got usurped by having a general date for the festival, right? After all such a date would have tremendous social value (protection, social conformity, news gathering and of course collation of energy)

But let’s go back to, what I’m going to call, personal sacred festivals.

First of all, if we examine the equation we note that the most powerful of these components is the Worlds Energy i.e. the sacred date as we know it. So it would make sense that our personal sacred date would be close to these. Second is the power of social energy. With every other Wiccan giving of celebrating energy on the calendrical sacred date, this would draw us to that date too.

Of the birthdate and the current energy of the person? I asked the dowsing rods as to which was the more potent and the answer was half and half – further investigation revealed the following:

  • Earth date 60%
  • Location 17%
  • Birth date 10%
  • Current energy 10%
  • Social 3%

Surprising results!

Why did I begin this investigation? Well, looking back to last year I felt that the turning point of the year was a couple of weeks earlier than the calendrical (Winter Solstice) date. This year it feels the same too. In fact it feels like today – the 5th of December is pretty close to it. Perhaps another couple of days.

Indeed, now that the Full Moon is upon us, I have complete confidence that today is the day. Time to journey the next rung of the spiral.

See you on the other side

Kal Malik

ps – would love to hear if you guys have had similar experiences or do you feel that the sacred days are the points of change for you?

Auras and Crowds

Recently I had my first experience of Thanksgiving in te States. I was excitedly looking forward to Macy’s parade and was wondering what kind of energy would be floating around.

I know from experience and dowsing that the energy of crowds is fascinating and disturbing. From experiments I have conducted in shopping halls I have learned that it isn’t the wandering around shopping centers that makes you tired it is the rustling interaction of aura energies that is the cause.

When we are in such an environment where people are moving hither and thither (often frantically) and passing quite close to each other, through each others personal spaces (auras), then this interaction causes upheavals or eddies in our own auric energy. This turbulent energy causes us to become:

  • Tired
  • Irritable
  • Moody
  • Angry

and other synonymous emotions.

Macy's Parade

As I set of for the parade my expectations were that a similar effect would be experienced. To this end I spent a few minutes re-arranging my aura to fit snugly about my body and also some levels of protection around me. I hoped that this would keep me from the energetic maelstrom and my emotions would be my own.

The number of people watching the parade is staggering. Down each of the (seemingly narrow) streets people thronged for the merest glance of the floating balloons, nevermind the actual people parading. My girlfriend and I found the going tough as we tried to get close to the avenue that the parade was flowing down.

As we pushed our way through I realised that I wasn’t feeling the effects that I associated with being in crowded places. My aura shrinking plus protection must be working well today I thought, even though the number of people was immense. Having failed in anyway to get close enough to the parade we gave it up and stood (pressed in from all sides) some thirty foot from the passing parade.

As I looked around me I noted with some pleasure that even though the people were hopelessly too far to see the parade they were still pretty amiable. Considering the often bumps and grazes they were taken from people still trying to move forward and indeed people giving up and moving back out of the gathering. Every so often a cheer would erupt when one of the mighty balloons (visible from afar) would pass by.

Having energy in mind from the outset my curiosity was peaked. Why weren’t the crowd feeling the effects of interacting energies? With some trepidation I lowered my protection and set about making my aura its normal size.

By making my aura its normal size I simply removed the intention for it to be fixed close to my skin and to puff it up with air so that it ballooned out.

Having done this I tried to forget that I did it so as to later see how my feelings had been. All the while this was happening my girlfriend, who is not fond of crowds at the best of times was getting more and more irate. At one point she decided enough was enough and began making her (crushing) way back out of the crowd. Dutifully I followed her and we were able to take refuge in a cafe close to where the crowd was thinning out.

Whilst she was trying to collect her thoughts (and her energy) she looked across at me in annoyance. Why are you so cheerful? she asked. I reflected upon my mood and realised that I was indeed cheerful. I said that the mood of the crowd must have affected me.

Even as I said it, my mind was formulating an idea. Could it be that the crowd having a collective psychology during the parade also had a collective energetic state too? Did the crowd have a kind of collective aura too? One that you naturally tapped into (if you didn’t have protection around you)? If so, why wasn’t my girlfriend affected in the same way? Why wasnt her aura joining in so to speak?

It was time to dowse some answers…

  • Did (or do) crowds that have a purpose or intent create a collective aura? Yes
  • Was reconfiguring my aura stopping me from interacting with the crowds aura? Yes
  • Was placing protection around me also interrupting the joining of auras? Yes
  • When I lifted the aura configuration and protection, did I join with the crowds aura? Yes
  • Was the whole of the crowds mood like it was because of the crowd aura? No
  • As a percentage how much was psychological and how much energetic? 25/55 (I know the figures don’t add up, there is a missing component that I couldn’t find). Note though that 25% was psychological, I wasn’t expecting that at all.

A curiously interesting set of results I have to say and another avenue of energetic exploration. But a point still remained on my to ponder list. Why wasn’t my girlfriend affected by the crowd aura? I questioned the rods…

  • Had my girlfriend put some protection around herself? No
  • Had she intentionally shaped her aura? No
  • Was she being affected by the crowd aura? Yes
  • Was it having the same effects on her? No
  • It was having a negative effect.

There was obviously some reason as to why she wasn’t being affected in the same way. Then it came to me, was it because she was going through her period? Yes! Aha! What a finding. Definitely more to explore about energies here.

Kal Malik – Solving puzzles

The power of Caileach

I was lost. I had been in New York city for the past 3 weeks and was looking for a connection. There are many times in life when one can reach out to guides or teachers for help and direction. These guides don’t have to be the mundane kind (i.e. people), they can be of an esoteric nature.

As I said, I was lost and in need of some simple direction, at the very least a nice commune with that gorgeous goddess Caileach would have been pleasant. Brilliant though the brick city is, one can’t help but wonder where is the natural touch?

I meandered around Central Park in the hopes of finding a suitable connective media. A bit like wandering the city trying to find a free WiFi connection. Alas nothing was in the offing. I was confounded! As readers may know I have gained a certain sympathy with trees and yet here I was being blanked.

I got my dowsing rods out and after a while came to the conclusion that I wasn’t being blanked at all. In fact what was the case was that there was no significant energy amongst the trees in this park. My intuition (which was confirmed with dowsing) suggested that the constant inter-play with human energies had left this park feeling and being empty. Wow!

Nevertheless I tried to commune with Caileach, my erstwhile mentor(ess?) and failed miserably. But surely we are talking about a Goddess here, not your average entity. So I tried again a few times and nothing. What was going on?Was she being blocked? Was my calling not loud enough? What???

Musing and pondering (with the addition of dowsing) led me to an interesting conclusion. Caileach is a Goddess of Britain and Ireland. Her power here is amazing, in other lands her reach is as good as those (and amount matters) followers she has there. Which I am guessing in the States isn’t too many.

We have so many theories about deities. Here is one: surely Caileach is an aspect of the Goddess and in other lands she is known by another name and so should still be able to be invoked? No. Really? Yes, really. No.

Invoked is the wrong word to use, communed with, or asked for help of, might be better.

Ask the dowsing rods yourself. Apparently Caileach is a local goddess (entity). This goes against a lot of book learned law I know but I am only going by what I have dowsed. Thus in the land of the America’s I was unable to connect with her.

Gwas and I speculated as to how we could bridge this gap and we came up with a theory. If we could find a connective object which we could associate with (or create an association with) Caileach perhaps this could be used to commune with her from a distant place. Gwas has created numerous such bridges and connections so I was eager to try.

Yesterday, I travelled to a Sacred Site that I really feel a deep connection with, Alderley Edge. At the Magicians wood I asked some questions to confirm my (our) hypothesis and the answers came back as true. I could indeed create an associative object that would allow me to commune with Caileach wherever I was. As I was dowsing these findings a thought came to mind from the works of that famed shaman, Carlos Castaneda. The memory was of him going to a watering hole to find a spirit catcher. My intuition and dowsing told me that this was exactly what I needed. A spirit catcher is a bridge between you and an entity.

Yes, you guessed it, I am out looking for a spirit catcher, the spirit I am interesting in catching (metaphorically speaking) is Caileach.

Meetings with Meteorites

I have just got back from The Big Smoke (or London to you and me). I am always in two minds about this place. Now that I am accustomed to the natural surroundings of my Cheshire home with its easy access to the countryside (I step out my front or back doors and it’s there) then I find it difficult to immerse myself in the manic frenzy that is London City. However, it is also exciting for a while, and London has all the virtues of being a cultural hotspot, so I always get to see an interesting  museum, gallery, exhibition or performance. On this occasion I was on the South Bank to see Roy Harper at the Royal Festival Hall, ten years after his last gig there. This time he is seventy. A post will be coming soon about this, but in this post I want to talk about an interesting encounter with some alien objects!

M and I took some hours off before the performance to visit the Natural History Museum. As a child I had been around this museum and was stunned and awed by the incredible exhibits – rack and rack f fossils, dinosaur skeletons, trays of rocks, all animal life stuffed and pinned in shelves and display cabinets in room after room until the eye couldn’t take any more. Now, as an adult, I wanted to go back to look at the collection of meteors that the museum held. I was interested to see how I would react now that I had developed my sensitivity to energy.

London's Natural History Museum

Most major London museums are now free, which is a saving grace. However, there have been some changes made to the museum since I was last there. It’s gone all “kiddy”. Gone are the long racks of beautifully laid out exhibits (boooooring!) and now we have “interactive” exhibits (exciiiiting). Far less of the “show” and much more of the “tell”. I hated it. I hated every second of it. I couldn’t wait to find a safe haven from all the knobs, dials and wheels, the illuminated plastic displays, the childish “learn by picture” storyboarding and the sanctimonious tone of the whole series of sordid scenes supplanting the serious collections. Oh yes, it seems to say, you WILL become an eco-friendly, planet-saving, animal-hugging, rainforest-conscious, water-wary citizen of the world. You WILL! You MUST! Or you are evil and you kill fluffy animals.

I ran for the Rocks and Minerals department. Surely they couldn’t have ruined the rocks? Luckily, they hadn’t. The rocks were still in glass display cases, lined up in rows as far as the eye could see. Wonderful! Museums ”old skool”. Not a flashing bulb or laser experience in sight. No questions to answer. No moral to absorb. Now to find the meteors that I had heard were here.

What do you know?

Wow! I know I have again been lapse in reporting here at Hedge Druid. What can I say? I have to live the life I report about here too. Rest assured some interesting posts are coming up very soon. I just wanted to wet your appetite somewhat and get a post on here to boot.

After about a month in the hinterland of New York. Gwas and I got together for a catchup and general How are ya lad? chat. During the middle of our conversation we noted that our chat had traversed many fields.

  • house energies
  • tarot cards
  • entities
  • shades
  • ancestor energies
  • quests

And more. It was at this juncture that we agreed again that, truly, we know nothing. After which we agreed that on the subject of nothing we knew a lot. This position allowed some breathing room for our egos.

As I mentioned, having spent the last month in New York, one might wonder what hedge druid wise could be done, learned or experimented with in that brick city? Well, quite a lot as it happened. At least on the subject of energy. So without further ado let me get on and describe some fascinating energy results.

So long and thanks for all the fish

So proclaimed the Dolphins in that, now famous book, the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. My reason for bringing up the subject of fish, or a particular fish genus, the Sardines, is that in many cities across the world people often pack themselves neatly into tin cans and traverse to and fro from work. I am of course speaking about the Tube, Metro or Subway transit systems.

If you have ever frequented such transportation means then you would know that invariable people on these systems are very insular. They don’t talk to any other passenger(s) and in most instances even the companions they are with.

Now the psychological perspective might be that people feel uncomfortable being up close and personal with others. This is quite a good answer and one that I will put another way in a moment. Let me start from the beginning so to speak.

I have spent the last month travelling up and down the New York subway (from Manhattan to Brooklyn) and have spent a lot of the time observing the passenger behaviour. I have noted that people don’t engage with others on the train, even when there are only a few (mark those words). I have also noted that people don’t often talk with people that are with them.

I pondered whether there was an energetic reason for this and found some remarkable (and some obvious) results.

Aura

As many have said we have an aura, descriptions vary, but in essence imagine an egg shaped energy field that surrounds your body at a distance of your arms stretched out (This is a grossly simplified description but enough for my purposes here).

Now, my dowsing confirmed that close interactions (or indeed the overlapping of multiple fields) was one of the reasons for people to be more reticent in communing with their fellow passengers. For some reason this interference in fields causes us to close-off our social desire to communicate and belong. My speculation is that we become a bit energetically homogenized when we are in such close proximity with others, so much so that our separateness desolves. Interesting huh? Consider love making? Two become one.

In other places in this blog Gwas and I have written about how we can change our aura size and in one particular instance, back when we visited the BSD (British Society of Dowsers) conference. I demonstrated on the fly the ability to shape someone elses aura.

Recalling that incident had me conducting some interesting experiments. If I shrunk the aura of a passenger(s) to the size of their body i.e. so that it would not be interfering with other people would they become more communicative?

This was a rather difficult experiment to conduct because I didn’t know whether I had succeeded in shrinking an aura and also whether, if the passengers started talking, it was because I had done so or whether it was just random chance. Throwing scientific rigor out of the window I proceeded anyway.

By the way, I did feel some tinge of ethical and moral pain when I did this, after all I was attempting to shrink people’s auras without there permission. I did ask the dowsing rods what the effects would be, and was assured that after shrinking (if I succeeded) the auras naturally return to the size they were before. Also note that aura size fluctuates all the time too.

The experiment went thus. I would pick a candidate and shrink their aura and then observe whether they communicated with other people more freely. I would also try to shrink the auras of two or more adjacent people to see what effect that would have and finally I would find two people who were together on the subway and were not communicating and shrink their auras to see the effects.

As a correlation, afterwards I would dowse to see if I had succeeded in shrinking auras. I then only took the results from cases where I had succeeded in shrinking the auras.

Conclusions

In general I found the results supported the hypothesis I put forward in that people were more communicative when their auras weren’t entangled. Dowsing also agreed that this would be the case. However an interesting result came out of my dowsing.

As I was dowsing the about the aura interfering with other auras I got an intuitive nudge about the environment that passengers are in.

As you may have read here, the speculation is that ancient shamans used caves to shape their auras and so create profound changes in their perceptive (and energetic) abilities. My intuition was telling me that the metal casing (of the tube train) along with the fact that it was running underground and that it was running through an electro-magnetic field was more influential on the energy of people than that of aura-to-aura interference.

As I dowsed this, I recalled the work of Valerie Hunt. In her excellent book, Infinite Mind, Valerie conducted some fascinating experiments on paranormal feats and EMF. In some instances using Faraday cages. Her conclusion was that EMF had a profound effect on subtle energy (in some cases this was a positive effect). I would also like you to consider the small bits of evidence for magnetic healing.

These disparate bits of knowledge were popping into my brain and giving my dowsing more questions to ask and a path to follow. The conclusion was thus…

  • Aura-to-aura clashes were instrumental in people being less communicative on trains
  • The above was severely compounded by the fact that the people were within a strong EMF field
  • This was also compounded by the fact that (unnatural) aura shaping was occurring due to the shape of the train

The combination of these was causing people to be more reticent in their social communes. Interestingly I speculated whether this tube-travelling energy shape changing was also why people in the city were less social? The surprising answer was, yes. It seems that the more one travels on the trains the more ones aura is molded into a unnatural shape thus propagating that shape into times when they weren’t on the train.

Further dowsing revealed that a potential remedy for some of the effects was to shrink the aura to the size of the body.

You might be wondering what the effects of cars are on the Aura? I’m looking into it.

Kal Malik – exploring the beyond

PS: My girfriend picked up the rather unusual habit of plugging in here iPod when we were on the subway train together. Am I that boring?? Anyway, I decided to try aura shaping on her (without telling her of course) and in a few cases, literally moments later she was talking to someone (admittedly in a few of these instances it wasn’t me :(
