Lammas 2015 P5 The Undine Pact

Lammas 2015 P5 The Undine Pact

We had passed a tall standing stone – The Kintraw Standing Stone – on the way to the hotel, and had said that it would be nice to visit it at sunset. So it was that we arrived at the stone just as the sun was sinking behind the dark hills. I wasn’t feeling this stone spiritually. To me it felt like an energetic investigation was required. There was something to learn. I stood at the base of the stone. I could feel the stone draw down the last remaining rays of the sun. At this time it was slowing the intake and about to start turning around from drawing in to giving out. I wondered whether it gave out energy during the evening. I dowsed where the energy output would be for a New Moon – I found a field boundary three feet away from the base...

Mitchells Fold Machu Picchu and the Energy Double

Mitchells Fold Machu Picchu and the Energy Double

The weather was looking great as we set off for Mitchell’s Fold. A sacred place that I love to visit because it is easily accessible. However before that, Chris wanted to go to the top of Corndon hill. We drove around the hill a few times trying to find a place that was close to the top and failed miserably. Looked like it was going to be a climb and a half. And that it was. I was shattered by the time we got to the top and the only lesson that was to be had on my part was that I was fitter than I thought. Also it was a place to prepare. Why such a place? The answer was to be revealed about 40 minutes later when we arrived at the sacred place that is, Mitchell’s Fold. Both Chris and I followed the dowsing rods to the King Stone and whilst Chris had to...

The Weight of Souls

The Weight of Souls

“Time is an illusion, lunch time doubly so” is a famous quote from the Hitch-Hikers Guide (needs no further introduction). Over the last few months Chris and I have often delved into the notion of time. With my sciency background and mind chock full of sci-fi books, films and TV I am not averse to considering temporal phenomena as it relates to sacred experiences. However I have to confess that it was Chris that came up with this idea during one of our long car journeys. Back Story: Many years ago I made a mistake. A big one, I means a really big one. I was living in the south-west of the country at the time in a town called Barnstaple. In that worthy village, I found a church that was filled to the brim with shades. I was truly surprised at the...

The Resonance of Caileach

The Resonance of Caileach

Honestly, our adventures surprise us on a daily basis. From one synchronicity and strange occurrence do we wander. Seemingly aimless and yet specifically guided. We had spent considerable time looking for the Church of St Michael prior to our time at Arthur’s Well without success and then literally a few minutes after leaving that place we drive right past the church. Of course! It is a coincidence. Alighting, we wandered into the grounds of the church. It was meant to be! As per usual, we separated out and followed our rods. I was led to a flat table like gravestone with the sun falling upon it. I looked out across the graves towards the sun and pondered being here. I was about to ask whether this place forded some knowledge from me or indeed whether I...

Mitchells Fold and the Element of Air

Mitchells Fold and the Element of Air

We arrived at this easiest of access sacred sites in the frosty morning of near mid winter. As I approached the site, I asked for a place to prepare (and indeed whether I needed to prepare). I was taken to a place just near where the path meets the place and told…here it is. I stood in the freezing wind for a few minutes and then got the – quite clear message – “lie down” Thinking that I needed to sit on the floor, I sat. Only to have the message repeated…”lie down” So I lay down and immediately I was freed from the bristling cold wind. Wow! It was actually quite a nice breeze that rippled my collar. Minutes later, I felt that I was done with the preparation and the urge to continue on came over me. Where and what...
